About
I am a programmer with over 12 years of experience gained across various industries, including the last 16 years working with top tech institutions in Kenya.
I am now self-employed, developing Android applications, coding in multiple languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python, and mentoring the next generation of programmers to acquire the skills I have honed over the years. The first program I ever sold was a stock management system for a warehouse.
Over the years, I have worked in a wide range of industries, including utilities, retail, insurance, and motor manufacturing. My clients and employers have included companies such as Kenya Power, Safaricom, Equity Bank, Toyota Kenya, and Britam. I also spent three years at Strathmore University preparing and delivering training courses in computing.
While technology has changed drastically and the challenges are different, programming remains as exciting and rewarding as ever for me. When I’m not at my computer, you’ll likely find me exploring Kenya’s beautiful countryside on my motorbike, enjoying the journey as much as the destination.
